Kokua for Japan - April 2011

Jack Johnson and John headlined an afternoon of music at Oahu's Hilton Hawaiian Village that was truly extraordinary. Legends like  Willie Nelson, Pat Simmons and Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers and Mick Fleetwood joined Hawaiian artists like Jake Shimabukuro, Cecilio and Kapono, the Brothers Cazimero, Amy Hanaiali'i and many more, to raise almost 2 million dollars for victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami. The entire music industry came together for this one, with radio stations, hotels, sound companies and more, all donating their time and resources to make a heavyweight impact. Proceeds went to the American Red Cross and will no doubt be sent with plenty aloha.
