Big Sur Spirit Garden - August 2010

There were kids and dogs running wild and free and a few naked women too...but we'll just show you the kids and dogs for now. You can check out the drum circle photo as a consolation prize. A local legend invited John to hang at his enclave for a few days and take it all in. John also stopped by the recording studio of another local legend, Beach Boy Al Jardine of "Help Me Rhonda" fame. John checked out his wall of gold records and cool memorabilia. The Red Hot Chili Peppers just happened to be recording their next album there and had a massive array of effects pedals for the musicians to drool over.  Just down the road at one of Big Sur's famous beaches, John explored the freezing water, the inspiring rock formations and the kelp before heading over to his show at the Spirit Garden. What a long strange trip it's been.
