Kenneth Threadgill's Place - March 2009

Talk about going out with a bang. The Threadgill's show was an advance sellout and was John's last performance in Austin after a crazy week of 14 shows in a row. John and his band quite simply blew the roof off the place. Imua Garza, Mike Grande, Frank Carillo and Shawn Pimental rocked the house. John's dad Ernie Sr. sat in for a few tunes too and got his own standing ovation. Owner Eddie Wilson stopped by see his venue at its best. The energy in the room was unbelievable. It's no wonder why Austin is known as the best music town in Texas.
