Doozo Yorushiku at Yoshi's
Everyone loves Yoshi's in Oakland. The great Japanese food, the warm atmosphere and the fantastic acoustics make it an East Bay favorite. John, Ledward and Hapa sold out 4 shows in a row here with their powerhouse lineup.

Brixton in Redondo
Brixton is an underground (literally) club on the Redondo Beach Pier in Southern California. John, Led and Hapa did another show together in a room full of loud, appreciative fans.

Humphrey's by the Bay
For people in the San Diego area, Humphrey's conjures up fond memories of summer time concerts in a beautiful setting. John, Led and Hapa joined forces to send their music wafting over the marina on San Diego Bay.

Music on the Halfshell
John playing with Ledward Kaapana and Hapa, outdoors in the summer by a river in a beautiful natural amphitheatre. What more you like? That was the setting at Music on the Halfshell in Roseburg, Oregon, where 6000 fans made a day and night of it.

Hana Hou at Keauhou
Fans in Kona packed the Keauhou Shopping Center to see a free parking lot concert and donate food to the Hawaii Foodbank. It was a great show for a great cause.

Wild at the Zoo

Trader Vic's in LA
Trader Vic's is reminiscent of Hollywood's bygone days of glamour and schmoozing where movie deals were made over mai tai's. It's now located in Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles and caters to a different crowd.

International Day of Surfing
You really don't have to proclaim a special day to get surfers to go in the water, but the Ventura Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation did it anyway, to raise money and awareness for their cause.

One Paddle, Two Paddle
Paddlers from all over California came together in Avila Beach for the Pale Kai Canoe Club regatta. They invited John to do a concert the night before the race and to play during the race itself.

Upcountry Fair
Leave your slippers at home and put on your cowboy boots. Maui's Upcountry Fair is about rodeo, 4H, farmer's markets and down home family fun. John and his dad played a few sets together at this annual event.

This one will go down in history as one of John's best shows ever. Janis Joplin would have been proud. Austin's legendary Threadgill's, home to some of rock and roll's biggest royalty, welcomed John on the last night of the SXSW Music Festival.

South By Soup Fest
One of the coolest gigs at South By was way off the music industry radar, in the heart of Austin at the Caritas Soup Kitchen. You won't find suits or schmoozing here. It's a real soup kitchen and a few of the down to earth artists at SXSW were invited to share their music during lunchtime.

Whole Foods Austin
The Whole Foods Market flagship store in Austin is probably one of the most tricked out health food stores in the world. It's got everything, including a great roof. The natural foods haven hosted a rooftop garden party for John and other artists who were in town from Hawaii.

Roy's Invasion in Austin
Move over Antone's, Roy's was the place to be during SXSW this year. A huge contingent of bands from Hawaii invaded the Hawaii-based restaurant and turned it into a nightly party with an abundance of aloha.
