UH Rainbow Wahine Volleyball John helps the Rainbow Wahine kick off their 2010 volleyball season by singing the National Anthem and Hawai'i Pono'i at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu before their opening game against San Diego. It's part of the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational, featuring different teams over a few days. The game (and hopefully John singing) will be televised live on KFVE Channel 5 in Hawaii, and streamed on the internet at http://uhstreaming.oceanic.com. Sunset Serenade Summer Concert Series This is one of the best summer concerts in town and it's even free. 14th Annual Coconut Festival The Coconut Festival has become an institution on Kauai. This low key, friendly family event is what the Garden Island is all about. It celebrates all things coconut, of course. You'll find every imaginable coconut food, pie eating and cooking contests, arts and crafts, along with cultural and historical information about one of Hawaii's most significant products. Pakele Live This is a cool opportunity to see John perform and get yourself on TV at the same time. The show is streamed live around the world on the internet and broadcast a few months later on OC-16 in Hawaii. The taping is free and open to the public, in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel.
